FMSPhotoaday // Alphabet Month – Week 3

I got my groove back this week, really having fun with the letter prompts and getting creative!

Although did did skip ‘Q’ – I thought of turning my (four-legged) assistant, Lilly, into a ‘Queen’, but that seemed a bit obvious, so I spent the rest of Wednesday on the look out for things that were ‘quiet’ or ‘quirky’ and found nothing! Oh well =)

Here’s a recap of the days I DID complete:

Monday 19 // O is for…Oatcakes

Tuesday 20 // P is for…Puppy

Thursday 22 // R is for…Romano di Lombardia

Friday 23 // S is for…Shutters

Saturday 24 // T is for…Temporality

Sunday 24 // U is for…Underwear

One week to go, follow or play along on Instagram!

Monday Musings

Things that caught my attention last week

// A Touch of Colour – Collective Hub’s article on the rise of adult colouring.

This article, interestingly enough, co-incided with my first ventures into this new hobby that is said to stimulate relaxing ‘alpha’ brain waves

// HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD – the official eighth Harry Potter story and the first to be presented on stage.

I love the Harry Potter books, I love the Harry Potter films, I love the theatre….then why aren’t I more excited about this????

// NEW EMOJI – Mashable’s  complete guide

Personally, I don’t know how I ever lived with the popping cork bottle, cheese, middle finger or unicorn emoji!

What about you? What caught your attention last week? I’d love to hear your thoughts and musings.

FMSphotoaday // Alphabet Month – Week 2

I have found this week a bit more difficult! Life is getting in the way a bit and I haven’t been taking time to be grounded in the moment and be inspired by the little everyday things that make this project so fun. With this in mind, I’m going to try harder this week. But here’s a recap of week two….

 Monday 12 // H is for…. Hiking

Tuesday 13 // I is for…Island

Wednesday 14 // J is for…jump

Friday 16 // L is for…Lisbon

Saturday 17 // M is for…music

Photo a Day with Fat Mum Slim

I’ve been playing Fat Mum Slim‘s Photo a Day off and on now for years. I think its a great way to be both creative and mindful. The prompts provide the inspiration and each day you start to take notice of all the little things around you that you can use to interpret that prompt. Its a great way to live in the moment. And its a great way to improve your photography skills, taking a bit of time to think and plan your photos, rather than just capturing a moment in time.

This year FMS Photo a Day prompts have gone weekly, rather than monthly as in previous years, to help out all those peeps who can’t commit to a whole month, I guess! I have found the opposite true for me personally, but as October is ‘alphabet’ month just like last year,  I’ve decided to commit to Photo a Day for the whole month of October! I’m going to do my best to post everyday and not play catch up, but I can’t make any promises =)

Alphabet month is also a great time to start playing Photo a Day for the first time  as the prompts are very easy to interpret and allow a wide scope of creativity. So come along and play this month, joining the huge online community of photo-a-dayers even including celebs like Pink, Dannii Minogue and Holly Madison!

You’ll find all the details on how to play and where to share your pics on the Fat Mum Slim blog.

And come and watch me play on Instagram, Facebook and here at Wayfarers Inc!

Monday Oct 5th // A is for……Airport Sunset
